A Monday dinner with a friend brought me to this cool spot in Wynwood, right next to one of the prettiest, overpriced parking garages I’ve seen in Miami.
I texted my friend a few days prior on a Friday, itching for a good bowl of ramen. But a bout of nostalgia hit me and I suddenly wasn’t in the mood anymore. But as so things go, the whole weekend I ended up craving ramen. So when my friend suggested a new spot in Wynwood, I was stoked!
She made a reservation (which I would definitely suggest doing) for 7:30pm. Although there was no line when I arrived, it was moderately crowded on a Monday night (granted it was President’s Day), so I could only imagine how packed it could be on a Friday or Saturday night. There is a 10 minute grade period for a reservation made.
The dress code is cocktail, classy casual. Nothing ritzy or ostentatious, but I wouldn’t advise coming here in sweats and Adidas slippers.
Our server was quite helpful and mindful, meaning, he knew he had a large table to put an order in for so he came to us to get our order in first before the large party.
Drinks
My friend ordered the sangria which I would recommend. And it’s best that you get the pitcher because the cost was around $20 and an individual cocktail is $13. You could easily get two glasses per person with the pitcher.

Appetizer
The chicken karaage was decent, however, it wasn’t my favorite of the meal and I’ve had better. They used dark which I don’t mind, but the chicken pieces were quite large, making it difficult to bite into using just chopsticks for utensils. My friend and I had to use our fingers to bite through the pieces.

Main
I ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen and my friend ordered the Gyukotsu Ramen (the one with the giant bone)

Dessert
We shared the Mango and Sticky Rice for dessert. It was alright to be honest. I love sticky rice and mango, nd usually, it’s made with glutinous rice (sweet rice) but at Momosan they use savory rice (regular rice) and it detracted from the sweetness of the coconut sauce because the rice was essentially…bland. I liked the tapioca balls (those are not blueberries) but I wouldn’t re-order it again for a dessert.

Overall
I would definitely come back here! The ramen broth was rich and flavorful, and the server was considerate and helpful. I would recommend making a reservation to get seated as soon as possible.
